ABOUT
De La Salle University, in partnership with the Commission of Higher Education - Discovery Applied Research and Extension for Trans/Inter-Disciplinary Opportunities (CHED-DARETO) and Katrin Field Incorporated (KFI), launched the advance imaging system (Phenom Pro & XL) on September 17, 2018. This innovation was built specifically for easier analysis of a material's morphology using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and for determining the elemental composition with the use of Energy Dispersive X-ray (EDX) characterization.
The birth of Phenom Lab is dedicated to increase the quality and quantity of scientific studies of our researchers and to better help the surrounding communities with our offered services.

SERVICES

Scanning Electron
Microscopy (SEM)
Captures a high-resolution image of the material's structure up to 150,000 magnification.

Energy Dispersive
X-Ray (EDX)
Analyzes the atomic and weight composition of elements present in a point or an area of a sample; Also comes with elemental mapping (separation of elements in an area using colors) and line mapping (separation of elements in a straight line).

Gold Sputter
All non-conductive samples need to be coated with a conductive element for better imaging.
